Gregory (Greg) Helman
I’m a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the class of 1977. God led me to marry Marty (Foster) Helman on June 24, 1978 and we have 3 children. Our 2 girls and son have helped us be the proud grandparents of 9 grandchildren, 6 boys and 3 girls.
After working mainly in a variety of machine shops in the area, God called me to be a pastor. So, we moved to Huntington, Indiana where I graduated from Huntington College with a Bachelor Degree in Bible & Religion and a Master’s Degree in Christian Ministry. Since then, we have pastored full-time at South Mountain Church in Dillsburg, PA for 15 years and we have ministered at Blue Rock Church since 2008.
Pastor Greg is the leadership team member over worship and discipleship.
Philippians 3:13-14 are verses that guide my life: Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. I’m far from perfect and yet I refuse to live in the past. With Jesus before and with me, I move forward. Pressing on and not giving up, we can enjoy life by faith in Jesus and be rewarded with eternal life.

Matthew 4:19 And He said unto them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” I like this verse because if Jesus calls you to do a work for him, he will “make” you what he needs you to be so you can do that work and do it well.
